Masamune Makabe[]
Kinue is always doting over her son, especially when it comes to his health.
Kinue becomes saddened when Makabe leaves their home for his grandfather's place
She is often seen making his favorite, unhealthy food that he used to eat during his childhood. Even though he has changed to become the most handsome and fit high school boy, Kinue still urges him to eat her, often fried, food.
Whenever Makabe does, he notes how many calories he will have to burn off to maintain his healthy appearance.
Masamune always refers to his mother as "old loli" while she calls him "Maa-kun." When Masamune leaves the house after breaking up with Aki, Kinue becomes depressed and awaits for his return to their home. She stops being her usual motherly self and resorts to hiding under the blankets non-stop until Makabe comes home.
Chinatsu Hayase[]
Chinatsu is Kinue's daughter and second child of the Hayases. She is often seen at home with her mother lazing around the house and enjoys eating Kinue's food.

Yoshino Koiwai[]
Kinue spotted Koiwai and Neko one day in the Hayases' neighborhood. Recognizing their high school uniforms as the same as Masamune's, she assumes the two girls are friends of his and invites them, rather forcefully, into the Hayase household. When Masamune comes home to find this, he is filled in on the details and has to explain how his mother cannot read situations at times. She stays at Masamune's house well into the night, eating dinner and lighting fireworks before going home.
Neko Fujinomiya[]
Back in her childhood, Neko had met Kinue at a party where she was first introduced and fell in love with Masamune. Years later, she was invited into Masamune's house by his mother where she ate dinner and lit fireworks.
